This time last year I was sorting through endless bags of hand-me-downs and grandparent purchases. It seemed as though I didn’t have to purchase much to keep the girls dressed appropriately for the weather. Not to mention, they stayed in fleece jammies as they rolled around on the floor 24-7.
This year things are way different. The girls are 20 months old and running around wild. We go out to the library once or twice a week, and gymnastics every other week. I have still been lucky with the hand-me-downs, although as they get this big, finding outfits for two that are season-appropriate is sort of stressful.
I was able to acquire two winter puffer jackets and one fleece jacket. 2 fleece pullovers, some hoodies, and a slew of graphic long-sleeve tees. Now all that was left was pants, and staples.
I took to Amazon prime and my Target Redcard to get my free-shipping fix. Here’s a roundup of the girls’ fall fashion purchases:
I searched for multi-packs of items since I have a multi-pack of kids. I really like the Amazon/Hanna Andersson Collab “Moon and Back” so I have a couple of pieces from that collection. I am also a fan of the Cat & Jack brand by Target. My girls are curvy and tall, and this brand fits true to size.
We live in Georgia, so our fall/winters are very rainy! I have some hand-me-down rain boots for the girls, so I needed some budget friendly raincoats. I really like these raincoats because you can roll the sleeves up and the cute lining makes for a nice cuff. The jacket itself is also light enough that it fits over the fleece jacket easily without being bulky. I buy all of the girls clothes up a size if possible. Mainly because they grow so fast, if I want things to last a season there needs to be room to grow! These jackets allow for plenty of room to grow, and I can roll the sleeves so they’re a win-win!
I pair the HA dresses with leggings from the 3 pack and a jacket/light hoodie. Since some days its hotter than others, layers are really my friend.
